Heating up the November elections

There has been much talk about Moore's controversial 'Fahrenheit 9/11'. This is the first time I wish I am back in the States coz of a film. So that I can watch it when it's released, piping hot and as uncensored as it can be.

Coz by the time it hits the theaters here in uptight S'pore (if it is ever allowed to be shown), it would no doubt be as watered down as that forgotten Frappuccino on the coffee table.

It's very distasteful to play on the emotions of voters so as to add more zeroes to the gross. This is sheer speculation but I think Michael Moore's interests are more aligned with generating publicity to line his pockets than any attempt to enlighten the average American voter.

Thankfully, it has been rated R, although in America, that hardly means a thing since kids still can watch it in the company of adults. Besides, Michael Moore or not, the US education system has already done its part in saturating American children with extreme far-left, liberal propaganda.

I have no political inclinations, but the recent explosion of hate books, hate movies and hate articles from the extreme liberal left is just an embarassment. Protected by freedom of speech, they continue to pollute the minds of more impressionable Americans and makes one wonder if the privileges of democracy should denied from those who continuously abuse it.
